FEEL GOOD – CELEBRATE YOUR LIFE
Feel Good by Making Your Life A Celebration
According to Genesis humanity was formed in the image of the Deity. What does this mean? Does it imply that God is a white bearded old man with two eyes, ears, a nose and a mouth? Only extreme fundamentalists may believe such nonsense. What the authors of Genesis meant is that we are spiritual beings and have a spark of the Divinity within. You could say that we are all children of God.
Thus Jesus said, “When you pray call your father who is in heaven …” Other religions also write about the presence of Divinity within the Spirit of humanity and the infinite unconditional love of the Creator for the creation.
This total love of the Creator for you is something that you can celebrate each and every day. In the words of some mystics, “With every breath that I take I glorify thee and thank you God …” This celebration and appreciation of your life will truly change your attitude and help you achieve much more.
I have often mentioned that how you start and end the day are two important times to begin and reflect upon the day. Thus for at least the next week as soon as you wake up ask yourself, “What can I celebrate today?” Ask a similar question as you go to sleep, “What happened today that I can celebrate?”
Also as you go through the day see what you can celebrate. The sun is up … celebrate that. It is raining … wonderful celebrate that. You are stuck in traffic a jam … see if you can celebrate that. The whole question of celebration is a matter of attitude. And like most other things the more you do something, the easier and more natural it becomes.
The following help you celebrate life:
Smile a lot and have a great sense of humor.
As you breath in say, “I breath in the love of God.”
As you breath out say, “I breath out love for all.”
Give sincere compliments and be gracious when receiving compliments.
Keep thinking how lucky you are. Search your past for signs of luck.
Keep in touch with the playful child within.
Watch the sun rise or set.
Go to a park or nature.
Spend quality time with a loved one.
… the Divinity within me salutes the Divinity within you …
